Everyone has a unique story to share, and we really want to hear yours. We want a rustic blend of talks that will be engaging for all skill levels within the WordPress Community. We’re seeking passionate speakers with a flair for the dramatic onstage, technical brilliance, community leaders or business acumen, and everything in-between. We’re open to any and all your ideas for presentation topics, whether you’re a first-timer or well known throughout the WordCamp space.
What are we looking for in our speakers?
Our WordPress Community was founded with an emphasis on hands-on learning to provide a home for WordPress to grow and thrive in Santa Clarita and the northern valleys of Los Angeles.
In keeping with this mission, our two-day WordCamp will feature a Friday track that will offer how-to sessions and a first of its kind Help Desk format led by talented speakers or Meetup leaders for those interested in the basics of WordPress.
On Saturday, we’ll cover the full spectrum of diverse voices sharing their incredible talents and perspectives in long or lighting formats.
WordCamp Presentation Formats
Sessions will fall into one of the following formats:
- 15-minute Lightning Talks including five minutes for Q&A;
- 40-minute Presentations or Panel discussion including five minutes for Questions & Answers (Q&A); and
- 4 hour Workshops with two or three 5 minute breaks, including time for Q&A
You can propose your idea for consideration in one, two, or all three formats above.
Santa Clarita has over 40 local parks, 17 hiking trails, and LA’s only natural lake in Castaic. Enjoy the outdoors during WordCamp.
