We\u2019re looking for enthusiastic, community-minded folks to join our organizing team and make this event an amazing experience for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you\u2019ve been to a WordCamp before or simply love WordPress and connecting with others, we\u2019d love to have you involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who should apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re building a diverse, collaborative team and welcome people with all kinds of skills and perspectives. If you enjoy teamwork, learning new things, and contributing to a positive community event, you\u2019ll fit right in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an organizer, you\u2019ll be asked to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review and agree to the WordCamp Organizer, Speaker, Sponsor, and Volunteer guidelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow our Code of Conduct and help create a respectful, inclusive environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a WordPress.org profile (and if you don\u2019t have one yet, it\u2019s easy to set up!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s the time commitment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We know your time is valuable, and we aim to keep things manageable and rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what to expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>About 2\u20133 hours per week during most of the planning period<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to 6 hours per week as we get closer to the event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bi-weekly (then weekly) planning meetings via Zoom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendance in person at WordCamp Santa Clarita on July 24\u201325, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll be part of a supportive team, so you won\u2019t be doing it alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Getting started is simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take a look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/handbook\/wordcamp-organizer\/first-steps\/the-organizing-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">different organizer roles<\/a> and see what interests you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out the application form and tell us a bit about yourself<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s it\u2014we\u2019re excited to learn more about you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The application period is open until May 8, 2026. After that, our team will review submissions and reach out to selected organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve been thinking about getting more involved in the WordPress community, this is a great way to do it.
