Be a part of something out of this world
Help bring WordCamp Santa Clarita 2026 to life! We’re looking for enthusiastic, community-minded folks to join our organizing team and make this event an amazing experience for everyone.
Whether you’ve been to a WordCamp before or simply love WordPress and connecting with others, we’d love to have you involved.
Who should apply?
We’re building a diverse, collaborative team and welcome people with all kinds of skills and perspectives. If you enjoy teamwork, learning new things, and contributing to a positive community event, you’ll fit right in.
As an organizer, you’ll be asked to:
- Review and agree to the WordCamp Organizer, Speaker, Sponsor, and Volunteer guidelines
- Follow our Code of Conduct and help create a respectful, inclusive environment
- Have a WordPress.org profile (and if you don’t have one yet, it’s easy to set up!)
What’s the time commitment?
We know your time is valuable, and we aim to keep things manageable and rewarding.
Here’s what to expect:
- About 2–3 hours per week during most of the planning period
- Up to 6 hours per week as we get closer to the event
- Bi-weekly (then weekly) planning meetings via Zoom
- Attendance in person at WordCamp Santa Clarita on July 24–25, 2026
You’ll be part of a supportive team, so you won’t be doing it alone.
How to apply
Getting started is simple:
- Take a look at the different organizer roles and see what interests you
- Fill out the application form and tell us a bit about yourself
That’s it—we’re excited to learn more about you!
What happens next?
The application period is open until May 8, 2026. After that, our team will review submissions and reach out to selected organizers.
If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved in the WordPress community, this is a great way to do it. Come help us create something memorable—we’d love to have you on the team.
